Dhakatha Yoga, established in 2016 by Deborah, draws upon her decade-long experience in practicing yoga. The philosophy behind Dhakatha Yoga goes beyond physical postures, aiming to integrate the spiritual aspect into the practice. The focus is on internalizing the practice, creating a space in one's day to let go of the past, free the mind from future concerns, and concentrate on the present for healing.
The mission of Dhakatha Yoga is to guide individuals in discovering themselves through a genuine connection to their true essence, facilitated through mindful movements and engagement with the body. The classes, lasting 1 hour and 15 minutes, are multilevel and semi-personalized, with careful consideration for those with injuries.
Two distinctive styles of yoga are taught at Dhakatha Yoga:
Special activities, such as 108 sun salutations outdoors during solstices or equinoxes, contribute to the unique offerings of Dhakatha Yoga. The studio also celebrates International Yoga Day and anniversaries with workshops and special activities.
Meditation sessions include Jappy, a partner-oriented practice accompanied by music and singing, providing a holistic approach to well-being.
